Readings for March & April: A Special Announcement

Settled in after the very large, sweet & incredibly upbeat poetry festival & celebration in Granada, Nicaragua, I’m engaging in seven weeks of further renewal in the hometown (New York City) & with the hope of seeing as many old & new friends as possible. The following anyway is for those in New York & thereabouts who may want to drop by at one of the presently scheduled readings or let me know about meeting up otherwise:

Wednesday, March 13, 8:00 P.M.: Reading & pre-launch of Eye of Witness: A Jerome Rothenberg Reader (Black Widow Press), with co-editor Heriberto Yépez, at St Marks Poetry Project, 2nd Avenue and 10th Street.

Thursday, March 14, 5:00 p.m.: Reading at Bard College, exact location TBA.

Sunday March 17, 2:00 P.M.: Reading, for North Manhattan Arts Alliance, at Cornerstone Church, Bennett Avenue and 189th Street.

Saturday March 23, 2:00 P.M.: Retrospective performance of collaborations with Charlie Morrow, composer, at Ear Up Gallery (above the Ear Inn), 326 Spring Street.

Monday April 8, 6:30 P.M.: Reading, with Pierre Joris, at DIA, Readings in Contemporary Poetry, 535 West 22nd Street, 5th Floor.

In addition there’s to be a reading at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, on April 2, for which I still lack the final details.

Aside from that the work continues, as it always has.
